Company Researcher Agent

Challenge

An associate at the private equity firm is tasked with finding and researching investment targets for the firm. Initially, a junior associate does not have the technical expertise to appropriately assess fit of a managed services provider with the niche criteria of the PE firm.

It could take the associate 10-15 minutes to research the company, potentially needing to consult with senior professionals at the firm to get guidance and utilizing valuable time from those senior colleagues.

Solution

We developed a Company Researcher Agent with a Slack interface where the associate (or anyone at the PE firm) chats with the agent by sharing the URL of the target company they are interested in researching and the user gets back a highly-accurate company report with a fit score for that specific investment target in approximately 10 seconds, allowing the team to decide to continue to invest time in that company or not. Additionally, a database is created with this curated data to persist the organizational intelligence within the PE firm.
